The first weekend of the Delft study abroad experience, many students ended up riding their bikes to Scheveningen, one of the Netherlands most famous beaches!

The 10 mile bike ride took them through two other cities in the Netherlands: Rijswijk and The Hague. Along the way pitstops were made for fruits, local snacks, and drinks.

At the beach students flew kites, lounged on the sand enjoying the perfect weather and built sandcastles.

Civil Engineers generally like to build, and even though we didn't have any tools, we dug a rather large hole -- which of course after completion was filled in as if it was never there!

Upon returning to Delft, students made dinner in the residential kitchen and enjoyed watching the sunset while chatting about their different experiences and interactions in Delft thus far.
