Dr. Alireza Toghraee received his Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO where he did research on investigating diffusion-controlled interactions in microstructures using computational methods. He was awarded his MS from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO; where he worked on vibration and control in Atomic Force Microscopy. He has more than 7 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. Currently his research interests are focused on modeling the evolution of microstructures during oxidation and under mechanical loads using Phase Field Modeling as well as vibration and control in MEMS/NEMS.
