A Hope-Filled Welcome from the College of Arts & Sciences
During my early visits to campus before becoming Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, I was impressed by the deep sense of hope my colleagues embodied. This intentional outlook for the future of our academic unit and the university, along with our Catholic, Jesuit, and Humanistic mission, drew me to Gonzaga immediately. It is with this collective hope that our team will steward the future of our College.
I am proud to be in the company of teacher-scholars and staff who make incredible impacts on our local and global communities. From those faculty engaged in civil discourse around our elections to Biology staff growing plant starts to serve our most food-vulnerable communities and everything in between. At the College, we lean into and live out our mission every day. By walking alongside our students as they flourish in summer research programs or study abroad programs and by modeling what servant leadership can look like, we are building a community of scholars and learners set to ‘go forth and set the world on fire'.
