In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelors in Sociology and minors in Solidarity and Social Justice and Environmental Studies. The day after graduation, I started a full time position at the Public Health- Idaho North Central District in Lewiston, ID. As a Health Education Specialist, I work primarily with our tobacco cessation and prevention program, as well as our comprehensive cancer control program.
I would not be the person I am today without having gone to Gonzaga. Gonzaga educated me about issues facing our world and society, and taught me how to use my voice for justice. Gonzaga also taught me that I don’t have to choose between passions for justice, health and the environment, because they are inherently connected. This is a belief that motivates my every action in post-grad life, especially while I navigate the working world and prepare to apply to graduate school.
