The Theatre Program at Gonzaga University can help you realize your goals with training and production experiences in theatre performance, technical theatre, and design.
The program offers a theatre arts major with courses in all aspects of theatre production: acting, directing, theatre history, technical theatre, stagecraft, costume construction, and scenic, lighting, and costume design. You will develop professional and leadership skills through intensive classroom training, practical collaboration, live productions, and frequent interaction with guest artists— including professional actors, movement specialists, designers, and casting directors. The program also participates in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and seeks to place students in internships with theatre and film companies.
The program stages a wide range of theatrical productions directed and designed by faculty and students, with an eye toward excellence. The program is driven by Gonzaga’s Jesuit values and commitment to social justice.
