Summertime in Spokane — what could be better?

While the pace on campus slows, things are buzzing behind the scenes at the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center. We’re hard at work putting the finishing touches on an unforgettable 2025/2026 season. Beth Moore

Staff Spotlight

Beth Moore

Joy Simmons, Program Assistant

Joy handles the Center's daily business and operational functions. She has production credits with theaters across Eastern and Western Washington, including Harlequin Productions, Stage Left Theater, Spokane Shakespeare Society, TAC at the Lake, and Lilac City Dinner Theatre (of which she is the founding member). Previously, Joy managed front-of-house operations and grant writing for Stage Left Theater, and in 2023 was honored with an American Association of Community Theater (AACT) Spotlight Award for her work sustaining the theater through the global pandemic. She continues to facilitate youth theater programs at Stage Left Theater. Outside of work, Joy enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her son.
