Become an Executive in Residence

RETIRING SOON AND LOOKING FOR A WAY TO GIVE BACK TO GONZAGA AND OUR COMMUNITY?

If you are getting close to retirement and want to stay involved with Gonzaga and its community, becoming an executive-in-residence (EIR) for the School of Business Administration (SBA) may be a great option for you.

What would it mean to be an EIR? As an EIR you can perform various roles within a SBA department or in your specialty. You can serve as guest lecturer, work with the Center for Career of Professional Development as a mentor to students through the job placement process, organize special interest presentations and panel discussions, consult with faculty on curriculum development and skill building, and help with fundraising. As you can see, the help that an EIR can bring to a program is quite substantial. Being in an EIR role can be an excellent avenue for sharing practical experience with students helping to prepare the next generation of leaders. In all cases, the presence of seasoned and successful executives on campus provides students with role models. Sharing lessons learned from practical experience, providing an opportunity for the EIR to use his/her knowledge to share life experiences for the benefit of the next generation of professionals is priceless.

As an EIR, you can help the SBA embrace its core values of academic excellence, engagement in our university and our community and our Jesuit legacy of inspired, confident, and innovative action.
