All Certification programs in the School of Education are approved by the State of Washington Professional Education Standards Board (PESB). The Washington state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction recognizes Gonzaga's approved programs for the preparation of teachers, counselors (ESA), principals and program administrators. Certification programs may be combined with master's degree programs where applicable. Stand-alone certification programs are also available provided the candidate has achieved the appropriate degree requirements needed.

Graduate Teacher-Certification Degree Programs:
- Masters of Initial Teaching (MIT) Elementary or Secondary
Undergraduate Teacher-Certification Degree Programs:
- B.Ed. in Physical Education
- B.Ed. in Special Education
Non-Degree Undergraduate Teacher-Certification Programs:
- Elementary Education
