Dynamics & Controls

rocketry
Unlock the power to shape and control motion in the world around us. Dynamics & Controls studies mechanical systems to make them perform in a specific way. Imagine you're driving a car and you want it to maintain a certain speed or stay in a lane automatically. Dynamics & Controls helps us figure out how to measure the car's speed and position, and then use that information to adjust the car's behavior, like accelerating or steering, to meet our desired goal.

It's like having a smart system that can monitor and adjust itself to achieve the performance we want.

What Can You Do with Dynamics & Controls?

Pursue careers as control system engineers, robotics engineers, automation engineers, or aerospace engineers. Graduates skilled in dynamics and controls can develop innovative solutions for manufacturing, healthcare, energy systems, exploration, and more.

What You'll Study in Dynamics & Controls

You will learn about the principles of motion, forces, and energy. Topics will include kinematics (study of motion), dynamics (study of forces and motion), feedback control systems, and system stability. Mathematical methods such as calculus and differential equations will help describe and solve dynamic problems. Additionally, you will learn about sensors and actuators, system response analysis, system identification, and control system design.
