Class GPA Ranges

All enrolled students are ranked, by cumulative grade point average (GPA) after each fall and spring semester in the class level and program that applies to them. Executive J.D. students are ranked as their own cohort and not with students in the three-year program. Each semester’s calculation includes all grades received by the date listed on the GPA range chart. Grades received after that date will be included in the next fall or spring semester listing.

Students will be notified via email by the Law School Registrar’s Office if they are in the Top 10%, Top 25% or Top 50% of their class. Notifications will go out by close of business one week following grade release. Individual ranks will not be provided, other than as detailed in Student Handbook Rule 7-6.

In addition to notification, the Law School Registrar’s Office publishes below the GPA range for the Top 10%, Top 25% and Top 50% for each class and program for the four most recent fall and spring semesters. Students may direct outside entities to this publicly available information for the purposes of employment.
