All international students and scholars attending Gonzaga University on an F-1 or J-1 non-immigrant visa are required to purchase university-sponsored medical insurance for the duration of stay.
What are my benefits under this plan?
This plan covers part of your healthcare costs at Health & Counseling Services or at other doctors in the Spokane area. For a full list of benefits and a plan summary visit the Lewermark website at http://www.lewermark.com/gonzaga/.
How will I be enrolled in the plan?
You will be automatically enrolled in Gonzaga sponsored insurance once you are registered for fall, spring, or summer classes. Registration will occur before coverage begins, ensuring that you are covered for an entire semester.
How will I be billed for my insurance?
The cost of your insurance will be included with all other fees in your tuition bill. That way you can pay for your tuition, fees, and insurance all at the same time.
Am I allowed to waive the coverage?
Medical insurance waivers are allowed only when documented proof of comparable medical insurance coverage is provided before the first official day of classes for the semester/term.

Where can I go for care with this plan?
With this insurance, you can go to Gonzaga University Health & Counseling Services, local urgent care centers or emergency departments, or to any in-network doctor in Spokane. (In-network means that this is a doctor that accepts your insurance.) Many doctors in the community accept LewerMark's insurance network.
How do I get a copy of my insurance card?
If you have the LewerMark insurance through Gonzaga International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), a copy of your insurance card is available on the LewerMark website: http://www.lewermark.com/gonzaga/.
Who can I contact with questions?
If you have questions, you can visit the ISSS office in the Hemmingson Center or call 509-313-5560.
