Living-Learning Community Cord Goals:
Students in living-learning communities (LLCs) at Gonzaga have the unique opportunity to earn an LLC graduation cord by actively participating in living-learning community events and by reflecting on their experience at the end of the academic year. The requirements to earn a graduation cord include:
- Attending the fall Living-Learning Community Orientation event (1st-year students only).
- Participating in at least three programs hosted by a Community Assistant (CA).
- Participate in at least one (1) LLC-sponsored excursion.
- Submit the LLC Participant Reflection survey sent to students on April 15th and returned by May 1st of each year.
LLC residents must check-in to each program or excursion they attend. Students can verify with their CA that their participation was tracked.
Students who depart from an event early or are disruptive during an event will not receive credit for attending that event.
Special Considerations:
Campus Partner Retreats
Daylong or overnight retreats hosted by any campus partner are considered one program.
Outdoor Pursuits Programmer Excursions
Students in Marian Hall have additional opportunities to attend programs hosted by Outdoor Pursuits Programmers in their halls. These programs count towards LLC cord goals just like a CA program.
