SUBJ: | Thanksgiving Break Travel Reminders & Booster Shot Availability |
DATE: | November 23, 2022 |
Now that Thanksgiving week is upon us, we wanted to share information about booster shot availability and things to keep in mind to keep yourself and others as safe and healthy as possible:
Get Your COVID-19 Booster: As you may have seen, the FDA recently expanded eligibility for COVID-19 booster shots for all adults age 18+. Booster shots have been shown to improve the efficacy of the vaccines overall, supporting your health and the health of those around you. If you received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, you are eligible for a booster shot six months after your second shot; if you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible for a booster shot two months after your first shot. Get Tested for COVID-19: We have worked with SRHD to ensure COVID-19 testing strategies are in place to help keep our campus community safe. Click here to learn more about COVID-19 testing options available based on your vaccination status.
Travel Safely: If you are traveling, please visit the CDC Travel Recommendations webpage for more information to know before you go.
I wish you a safe and very happy Thanksgiving!
