Students receive help in the CGE office with their visas for study abroad.

Maintaining Your Visa Status

International students must abide their visa regulations in order to pursue their studies in the U.S. These regulations are complex and require your regular attention. The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is here to assist you with understanding of your regulatory requirements and helping you remain in compliance. You will learn these important regulations during the week-long International Student Orientation, immigration check in process, regular important reminders, and at individual appointments. However, you are ultimately responsible for your own visa status. Therefore, it is important that you pay attention, learn these regulations, and contact your Designated School Official (DSO) who are also your international student advisor if you have any questions.

The information provided on this website is only meant to provide a general overview. Students are encouraged to learn more about their visa requirements on Study in the States Website: https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/, in their ISSS portal, or by contacting their DSO.
