Why are you in admissions at Gonzaga?
I was drawn to Gonzaga as an undergraduate because of its strong sense of community and purpose, and those same values are what keep me here as an admission counselor. Gonzaga’s education has helped me grow into a well-rounded person, and I deeply believe in its Jesuit values, especially caring for the whole person. Being part of the Office of Admission allows me to walk alongside students as they explore this journey, and I’m passionate about helping them see how their story might fit within Gonzaga’s mission and community.
What is your favorite place on campus?
The Kennel is hands down my favorite place on campus. There’s nothing like the energy of a Gonzaga basketball game. Students packed into the stands, cheering in unison, and rallying behind something bigger than themselves. It’s the epitome of school spirit and community. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just there for the experience, being part of the Kennel reminds you that you are part of something special.
What is your favorite thing to do in Spokane?
I love doing just about anything outdoors. Whether it's paddleboarding on the river, reading a book in a hammock, or building a snowman, being outdoors in Spokane always makes me happy. Yet, when the weather turns a bit chilly, I enjoy exploring downtown Spokane’s arts events like Pivot, a storytelling series that never fails to fill my cup.
What is one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Say yes to everything—well, almost everything. Be open to new experiences, whether it’s joining a club, going to the COG with someone new or trying classes outside your comfort zone. These opportunities help you grow, meet new people, and discover passions you might not know you have. Saying yes can lead to some of the best and most unexpected moments of your college journey.
