New Undergraduate Students
At Gonzaga, we understand that affordability is a top concern for our students and their families. That's why we're committed to helping you navigate the financial aid process.
To receive financial aid at Gonzaga, you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. By completing the FAFSA, you take the first step toward securing the support you need for your education.
The 2025-26 FAFSA should be ready by December 1. If it is not, do not worry. We will provide options for you to receive financial aid information. The financial part of the college decision is important, and we want to help!
Current Undergraduate Students
Students eligible for federal and state need-based aid, like the Pell Grant or Washington College Grant, or those planning to borrow federal loans must submit the FAFSA annually. We encourage current undergraduate students to complete their FAFSA by March 1st to maximize federal, state, and institutional need-based aid eligibility.
Financial aid offers for current undergraduate students will be available to view in Zagweb in April.
Undocumented Students
- State of Washington student residents who are not able to submit a FAFSA, can submit the WASFA (Washington Application For State Financial Aid). The WASFA is specifically for low-income, non-citizen students who attended a Washington High School who are unable to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) due to immigration status.
- Non-Washington residents should fill out and submit the Needs Analysis Form to apply for need-based financial aid.
- For more information about financial aid and scholarships at Gonzaga, please get in touch with the Financial Aid Office by email (finaid@gonzaga.edu) or by phone, 509-313-6582.
International Students
All undergraduate international students who apply for admission are automatically considered for a merit scholarship. International students are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). International students do have the option to apply for a private loan, and certain private lenders may require a U.S. based cosigner. For more information on private loan options please take a look at our Private Alternative Loan Webpage.
